Smart Shopping List

It not only helps you organize your shopping, but also finds flyers and discounts, so you can save money on the go. Who knew grocery shopping could be this smart?

Here are the instructions to use Smart Shopping list:

  1. Click on the “Shopping” item in the bottom menu.
  2. Add your items in the sopping list.
  3. Click “Start journey” to start shopping.
  4. You can check the items you bought or uncheck them if mistaken.
  5. End your journey by clicking “end journey”.
  6. You can also see the history of your shopping lists.

Goals

Imagine you want to buy a laptop. You can start saving money for this goal in loonieple.

Now let’s see what are the benefits of using goals:

  • When you add funds to a goal, that amount of money will be blocked in your account and will be shown as “saved amount“.
  • You can always see how much money you need to reach your goal.

Here are the steps to simply add a goal in loonieple:

  1. Click on “more” in the bottom menu.
  2. Click “Goals” and then add a new goal.
  3. Enter the details such as goal name, price and the date you want to reach that goal.
  4. Click “save“.
  5. You can edit or delete the goal by swiping to left.
  6. You can now add funds by clicking “Add fund“.
  7. To see the history of funds just click on “View details” and delete the funds if necessary.

Receipt OCR

When it comes to finance applications, data entry is usually a boring part. Now imagine you have purchased many items from a store and have a long receipt to enter in you finance app. Who does that?!

Well just give us a picture of the receipt and we will do the rest for you.

The details of your receipt will go into your expenses and will be shown as a receipt.

Here are the instructions to use Receipt OCR:

  1. Click on the plus button in the bottom menu.
  2. Click on “Scan Receipt“.
  3. Add a good quality picture of your receipt.
  4. Select the account which you have purchased the items with.
  5. Click on “Scan Receipt” and wait for the process to be completed.
  6. You can see your receipt data in “transactions” section in your dashboard.
  7. Click on “View items” to see the details and make necessary changes.

Budgeting

Budgeting is the process of creating a plan to spend your money wisely. A budget helps you to estimate how much money you will earn and spend in certain categories.

Let’s walk through the process of manually creating your monthly budget in Loonieple:

  1. Click on “budget” button in the dashboard.
  2. Choose “manually” and then set the settings of your budget.
  3. Select the categories which you want to set budget for.
  4. Assign an amount for each category(you can see the available amount pinned at the top).
  5. Click “Save“.

Planned Payments

There are always some payments that repeat periodically and we sometime lose track of them.

Using Planned Payments you can manage these kind of repeated payments and get alerted when they are close.

Let’s walk through the process of adding a new planned payment:

  1. Click on “more” in the bottom menu.
  2. Click “Planned Payments” and then add a new plan.
  3. Enter the details of the payment and then enter the repeating details.
  4. Click “Save” and get alerted when a payment is close.
  5. you can see or pay the history of payments in the “View Payments” section.
  6. You can also edit or delete the payments by swiping them to left.
